Assam registers 2891 +ve cases in Assam on Friday including 175 in Karimganj
Active cases 30,197 in Assam
Sept. 4: On Friday, Assam registered 2891 new positive cases of COVID-19. With this, the state tally has now reached 1,21,224, out of which 30,197 are active cases. Further, Karimganj district in Barak Valley recorded its single-day biggest spike of 175 positive cases during the day. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 2891 #COVID cases detected today out of 39347 tests done in last 24 hours Positivity Rate- 7.34% Kamrup M- 670; Kamrup R- 232, Karimganj- 175, Dibrugarh- 151.”
Further, during the day, 15 persons died due to COVID-19 in Assam, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 345.
