Assam registers 16 more deaths due to COVID-19 on Friday, tally rises to 430

Sept. 11: On Friday,16 deaths due to novel coronavirus were registered in Assam. It needs mention here that on Thursday, 18 persons died in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death tally of the state has now gone upto 430. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Very sad & anguished to inform that 16 more COVID19 positive patients have succumbed to the disease. My condolences to all the families. We stand by you in this hour of grief. The deceased were identified as:

• Promod Das (62) & Tapu Nath (21) of Karimganj
• Priyanka Upadhyay (24) & Dipali Gogoi (60) of Dibrugarh
• Tulsiram Prajapati (50), Prabin Kumar (58), Krishna Chatterjee (75) & AR Jajodia (77) of Kamrup Metro
• Bhabendra Prasad Bora (60), Nikunjalata Bhuyan (75) & Mahesh Kumar Ajitsaria (54) of Nagaon
• Nurul Islam (80) of Morigaon
• Paritosh Sarkar (52) of Lakhimpur
• Gautam Devnath (32) of Sonitpur
• Rafida Begum (65) of Sivasagar
