Assam registers 10 more deaths due to COVID-19, tally rises to 370

Sept. 7: On Monday, 10 new cases of death due to COVID-19 were registered in Assam. With this, the novel coronavirus death toll in the state has gone upto 370. In a tweet on Monday night, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Very sad & anguished to inform that 10 more COVID19 positive patients have succumbed to the disease. My condolences to all the families. We stand by you in this hour of grief.” The deceased were identified as:

• Bhupendra Mohan Das (80) & Mahamad Ali (60) of Karimganj
• Raju Saringia Phukan (50) of Dibrugarh
• Tulika Goswami (56), Sadananda Thakuria (60), Priya Baishya (26) & Mahesh Deka (82) of Kamrup Metro
• Pobitra Saikia (55) of Sivasagar
• Kanak Chandra Deka (76) of Nalbari
• Kamal Kalita (25) of Nalbari
