Assam registers 10 more COVID-19 deaths, tally rises to 252

August 24: Another 10 persons lost their lives in Assam after being infected with novel coronavirus. With this, the death toll in the state due to COVID-19 has now gone upto 252. This was confirmed in a tweet by State Health Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday night. The deceased were identified as:

• Debobrata Deb (48), Shila Begum Mazumdar (48) & Srinibash Kangsa Banik (64) from Cachar
• Ranadhir Sharma (75) from Karimganj
• Chitra Dey (60) from Karbi Anglong
• Bedand AO (61) from Jorhat
• Bobita Singh (45) from Dibrugarh
• Anjina Begum (55) from Nagaon
• Dr Amal Machary (53) from Kokrajhar
• Usuf Ali (57) from Charaideo
