Assam receives 1,50,000 more doses of Covishield on Thursday
June 24: The Assam government has set a target of administering 3 lakh Covid-19 vaccines daily from June 21 to June 30. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma directed all guardian ministers and secretaries to visit their respective districts and ensure increased vaccination rates there.The ministers have also been asked to target vulnerable pockets, such as tea garden areas, to widen vaccination coverage in the state. For undertaking this mammoth task, huge doses of vaccines are required. It is in this connection that Assam received 1,50,000 more doses of Covishield on Thursday. This was informed in a tweet by Health Minister Keshab Mahanta.

Since 21 June, 2021, Assam administered more than 8 lakh doses of vaccines throughout the state. Here is the daily tally:
- 21 June: 3,71,080 doses of vaccine administered
- 22 June: 2,49,835 doses of vaccine administered
- 23 June: 3,56,214 doses of vaccine administered
