Assam: No decision taken on extension of lockdown in cabinet, will wait for centre’s decision

April 12: After much speculation regarding extending of lockdown by Assam government, Cabinet Minister of Transport, Industry & Commerce, Parliamentary Affairs, Chandra Mohan Patowary addressed media at the end of the cabinet meeting on Sunday. Speaking to news-persons, Chandra Mohan Patowary said that in the cabinet meeting held on Sunday, no decision was taken regarding extension of lockdown by the state government. He said, “We will wait for the centre’s decision and abide by what the central government decides on lockdown. Assam government has not taken any individual decision of its extension.”
