Assam govt to hereafter conduct all recruitment exams through Universities
Oct. 7: The recent scandal revolving around the sub-inspectors recruitment examination question paper leak and the subsequent state-wide protest by the opposition parties has led the BJP-led Assam government to arrive at a new procedure for conducting recruitment tests through universities. Assam Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna informed the state government will hereafter conduct all job recruitment through universities.

Further, the State Cabinet meeting held on 7 October resolved that henceforth no private parties will be involved in conducting tests for any government services related recruitment examinations. It was also resolved that either the department itself will conduct the recruitment test or else it shall be done by the state or central universities in Assam.
