Assam govt extends validity of driving license, vehicle registration till 31 March, 2021

Dec. 31: Assam government has extended the validity of vehicular documents like Driving Licences, Registration Certificates, Permits,  fitness certificates, Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC) etc. till 31 March, 2021. Earlier, the Government had extended the date from 30 September 30 to 31 December, 2020. The same was notified by the union government on 27 December.

The validity extension will apply to all documents that were supposed to expire on February 1, 2020, and those that would expire by March 31, 2021. It needs mention here that this is the 4th time that the centre has extended the validity of important documents in view of the Covid-19 situation in the country.
