As Unlock 1.0 continues, PM Modi to interact with Chief Ministers on 16-17 June
June 12: Amidst the ongoing pandemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a fresh round of consultation with Chief Ministers of States and Union Territories on 16-17June as the country gradually emerges out of coronavirus lockdown. This will be PM Modi’s sixth virtual meeting with the chief ministers since the first phase of the lockdown was announced on March 24 to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus.
On 16 June, the Prime Minister is likely to interact with Chief Ministers of 21 states and Union Territories including Assam, Punjab, Kerala, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Tripura, Himachal, Chandigarh, Goa, Manipur, Nagaland, Ladakh, Puducherry, Arunachal, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Dadar Nagar Haveli & Dama Diu, Sikkim & Lakshadweep.
Whereas, on 17 June, the chief ministers of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu And Kashmir, Telangana and Odisha will be present in the virtual meeting.
Under “Unlock 1.0,” the Centre and state governments have eased several restrictions for the public and businesses to ensure that economic activities hit by the lockdown gather momentum. The meet comes against the backdrop of the rising number of coronavirus cases in the country.
