Applications for new electricity connections & load change service to be done online from now: APDCL

Jan. 3: Responding to the new generation of online governance initiated by the state government, Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) Silchar Electrical Sub-Division-II in a notification stated that from January 2022, doing away with offline system, all new electricity connections and load change services will require online application by the consumers.

Informing this Silchar Electrical Sub-Division-II stated, “As a part of Hon’ble CM’s vision of transparent & efficient delivery of public services, we at Silchar Electrical Sub-Division-II have decided NOT to accept any offline New LT Service Connection application and Load Change application from 1st January 2022. All consumers must apply ONLINE at www.apdcl.org .”

The notification further stated, “List of required documents to be uploaded are mentioned in the portal. Consumers with no internet access may visit nearest CSC centre or APDCL EASY PAY agents for assistance. Come ! Be a part of the change.”
