Anundoram Borooah Award to be given in Silchar on Wednesday

way2barak, Sept.5: The Anundoram Borooah Award will be handed over to the meritorious students in Silchar at 2 PM on 7 September, 2022 at Rajib Bhawan. This will be followed by the Chief Minister’s live programme from 3.00 pm onwards from Srimanta Sankardev International Auditorium, Guwahati

In a notification issued by Semina Yasmin Ara, Inspector of Schools, Cachar, it was stated that a total of 764 meritorious students from 127 schools of the district will be handed over the Anundoram Borooah Award, 2022. Minister of Transport, Excise & Fisheries, Govt of Assam, Parimal Suklabaidya will be present during the occasion.

The Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme was started on 2005 and the students who scored more than or equal to 60% in class 10th Final exam conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam(SEBA) were eligible for the scheme. However to be an eligible candidate for ARBAS 2022 students have to score 75% or above in HSLC/AHM exam. The award will contain a cheque worth Rs.16,000 for each eligible students.
