Another +ve case in Kamrup Metro, total moves on to 59 in Assam

May 8: Another person was tested positive in Assam. Sharing this information, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “One student of Regional Dental College, Kamrup Metro has tested #COVID19 positive.” However, the minister did not mention any source from which the student was infected. This takes the total tally of the state to 59. Out of 59 active cases, 34 were already discharged and one patient died. This means the total number of active case in Assam stands now at 59.
