Animesh Dhar is no more

Way2barak, Dec13 : Animesh Dhar, father of Dr. Arijit Dhar is no more. He breath his last on Thursday at 5.20 pm

Animesh Dhar, retd Deputy Director, Food and Civil supplies was born to a highly educated and culturally rich family on 29th June 1936. His father was (L) Girindra Chandra Dhar and mother (L) Suchi Rani Dhar.
After completing his education from Guwahati University he joined Food and Civil supplies and served in various districts of Assam.
During his tenure he earned huge respect and popularity because of his honesty, sincerity and amicable nature. His sharp insight helped him tackle many challenges and handled advert situations with courage and strength.
An ardent disciple of yogic science he pursued yoga training from different parts of India. He was the first certified yoga teacher from Barak Valley. He completed his teachers yoga training frome Kaivalya Dham, Lonawala , Pune in 1980.
He was also the life time member of ICYER , Puducherry. He attended many national conferences and seminars on yogic science. He presented a paper on ‘ effective and convenient ways of doing yoga’ in AIIMS organised by CIMR, Delhi in 1995.
He was also the member of Lalit Kala Academy (National Academy of Art), New Delhi.
He established his own yoga center ‘ Time effective yoga center ‘ at his own residence. He wrote several books on yoga and it’s benefit.
His son Dr. Arijit Dhar, is renowned orthopedic surgeon, prof, deptt of orthopedic SMCH and his daughter- in- law Dr. Sujata Choudhury Dhar is the editor of Eastern Chronicle newspaper.
Shri Animesh Dhar was a very unique person and had an inspirational soul. His depth of knowledge in the field yoga was immense.
He encouraged people from all walks of life to imbibe the habit of practicing yoga. With his wisdom and
greatness he won the hearts of everyone.
He was diagnosed with cancer and breath his last on 12th Jan 2023. His contribution to the society will be remembered by all.
