Dream Celebration launches its new project “Ek Nari Sab Pe Bhari”

March 8: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, 2020, Dream Celebration launched its project, “Ek Nari Sab Pe Bhari” at Netaji Vidya Bhavan Girls High School, Silchar with active support support of the Headmaster of the school, Debanjan Mukherjee and in collaboration with Rotaract Club of Silchar, Cachar District Taekwondo Association and Project Nari Shakti by Swarnali Bhattacharje, Secretary of Dream Celebration.

A 7-day workshop from 8 to 14 March will be held in the school ground for free and also in remote areas with the help of Cachar District Taekwondo Association. The project Women Empowerment is categorised into 3 stages:  Mental, Physical and Education. Today’s program was held as an informative seminar, that basically targeted the mental and physical aspect of the project.

Advocate Sumita Som, Vice President of District Bar Association, shared her know-how on women rights and the laws that are prevalent for the safety of the women of the country. Dr. Prasanjit Ghose, enlightened the audience on mental health awareness and mental illnesses. Romi Sheikh, Taekwondo instructor spoke on the importance of self defense for women’s safety. He will also be heading the 7 days self defense workshop that is to be held in the school ground on the designated dates.

Bikash Mazumder, President and members of the Rotaract Club of Silchar also graced the occasion. The programme was signed off by Nikita Banik and Swarnali Bhattacharjee who gave an overview of the project in a wider aspect. It was marked by distributing sanitary pads to the school students with the help of the Rotaract Club of Silchar, followed by the self-defense demo classes with the female students of the school. Dream Celebration looks to make a difference that positively effects the minds of the people.

It needs mention here that Dream Celebration was established on 7 January, 2020 by its Founder President Nikita Banik alongside her mother Sonali Banik who has been her inspiration behind everything Nikita aspires to be. Dream Celebration began its journey with the anti-drug program which was an edu-cultural seminar at Banga Bhavan, which is now followed by the latest project “Women Empowerment” under the initiative and directorship of Nikita Banik, the President of Dream Celebration.
