Amid coronavirus concerns, PM Modi to skip ‘Holi Milan’ events
March 4: In the view of growing Coronavirus concerns, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tweeted that he will skip Holi Milan programme this year.
“Experts across the world have advised to reduce mass gatherings to avoid the spread of COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus. Hence, this year I have decided not to participate in any Holi Milan programme,” PM Modi tweeted.

PM Modi on Tuesday tweeted that he reviewed India’s readiness to tackle the Coronavirus epidemic and urged people that there was “no need for panic”. He tweeted on Tuesday that he has reviewed the coronavirus’ situation assuring nation that there was no reason to panic.
Indian government advised all the citizens to refrain from non-essential travel to the worst affected countries, including China, South Korea, Iran and Italy. Samples of all six people in Noida who were put on observation for suspected coronavirus infection have tested negative today.
Global deaths due to coronavirus outbreak on Tuesday rose above 3,000 with the new count in China mainland rising to 2,912.
