Amid chanting of holy hymns, Dept of Sanskrit, Cachar College bids farewell to its teacher Dr Ashima Bhattacharjee

way2barak, Dec.19: On Monday, the Department of Sanskrit, Cachar College, Silchar bid an emotional farewell to Associate Professor Dr. Asima Bhattacharjee, on the occasion of her forthcoming superannuation. The teachers, ex-students and students of the Department sang Stotras and farewell songs and expressed their fondness and reverence for the outgoing academician. Her words of encouragement and motivation have inspired many students to pursue a career in Sanskrit, a subject which connects the Indians with their rich heritage and has seen a rising popularity these days.
