Along with Class XI, Assam Govt also waives fees for admission in Class XII
June 18: The Assam Government in a notification has already waived the admission fees for students who would seek admission in Class XI and TDC 1st semester in provincialised colleges, HS Schools and Govt Schools/ Senior Secondary Schools in the state. In another notification issued by the Joint Director of Secondary Education in Assam on 16 June, it was mentioned that those students who have been promoted in Class XI will also be admitted free of cost in Class XII of the above mentioned category of schools & colleges of the state.
The state government has taken this decision to relieve of the parents from the financial burden in the backdrop of COVID-19 scenario in the state. No admission fees, tuition fees and cost of prospectus etc. shall be charged from the students irrespective of their financial status. The order specified that any institution found charging any kind of fees, whatsoever the amount, shall be viewed seriously.
The state government will reimburse the fees to the institutions for providing free admission, once they submit the detailed statement.
