জনসংখ্যার তুলনায় বেশি চাকরি, ত্রিপুরায় নিষেধাজ্ঞা

১৯ ডিসেম্বর : ত্রিপুরায় এখন আর সরকারি চাকরি হচ্ছে না। অর্থ দফতর থেকে এক নির্দেশ জারি করে সব বিভাগকে নিয়োগ বন্ধ রাখতে বলা হয়েছে। এ নিয়ে রাজ্য জুড়ে তীব্র প্রতিক্রিয়া দেখা দিয়েছে। অথচ নির্বাচনী প্রতিশ্রুতিতে বিজেপি সরকার ঘোষণা দিয়েছিল, ঘরে ঘরে চাকরি দেওয়া হবে। বছরে চাকরি হবে ৫০ হাজার। কিন্তু ক্ষমতায় আসার পর বিজেপি সরকার সেই আগের সরকারেরই পদাঙ্ক অনুসরণ করে চলেছে। বলা হয়েছে, অর্থ দফতরের অনুমোদন এলেই শূন্যপদের জন্য বিজ্ঞপ্তি জারি করা যাবে।

রাজ্যের অর্থ দফতর হুঁশিয়ারি দিয়েছে, বিভাগগুলো যদি বেতনের বাজেটের অতিরিক্ত খরচ করে তাহলে অন্য খাতের বরাদ্দ কেটে রেখে দেওয়া হবে। মুখ্য সচিবের স্বাক্ষর করা ওই নির্দেশে আরও বলা হয়, সারা দেশের মধ্যে শুধুমাত্র ত্রিপুরায় জনসংখ্যার তুলনায় সরকারি কর্মচারীর সংখ্যা সবচেয়ে বেশি। এমনকি মেঘালয়ের তুলনায় ত্রিপুরায় সরকারি কর্মচারীর সংখ্যা প্রায় দ্বিগুণ। ফলে নিয়োগে লাগাম টানতে হবে। এমনকি যেসব পদ অনুমোদন প্রাপ্ত, সেগুলোতেও নিয়োগের আগে অর্থ দফতরের অনুমতি নিতে হবে।

অন্যদিকে, ত্রিপুরায় বিজেপি সরকারের চাকরির ওপর নিষেধাজ্ঞায় বিভিন্ন মহলে তীব্র প্রতিক্রিয়ার সৃষ্টি হয়েছে। বিজেপি ভোটের আগে ক্ষমতা দখলের জন্য মিথ্যা প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছে, এমন কথাও ঊঠছে। আগের বাম সরকারের এক নেতা বলেন, বিজেপির প্রতিশ্রুতি দেওয়ার আগে ভেবেচিন্তে এগোনো উচিত ছিল। তবে বিষয়টি এখন স্পষ্ট যে, বিজেপি চাকরি নিয়ে অপপ্রচার করেছে। এ বার সরকারকেই ঠেলা সামলাতে হবে।

December 19: No more government job will be available in the state of Tripura. The Finance department has brought out a notification in which all government departments has been asked to stop appointments. This has resulted in sharp reaction among the people of Tripura. Surprisingly, the BJP government during the Tripura polls announced that jobs will be provided to every household. They assured of providing 50,000 jobs in a year. However, after assuming power in the state, Biplob Deb led BJP government has started to walk in the footprints of its predecessor CPIM government. The notification issued further stated that advertisement to the vacant posts can be made only after getting recommendations from the Finance department.

The state Finance department has warned that if the departments spend more amount than what is specified in the budget then grants given in other heads will be curtailed. The notification signed by the Chief Secretary of the state further stated that in comparison with the other states, the number of government employees is more than the population ratio of the state. Even in comparison to Meghalaya, the number of government employees in Tripura is just double. As such, restriction need to be imposed in case of employment. Even for employment in the already vacant sanctioned posts, recommendation of Finance department has been made a must criteria.

On the other hand, The restriction imposed upon government jobs in Tripura has invited sharp reaction from various quarters. A leader of the left party in Tripura said that before making electoral promise, BJP should have thought properly. But now atleast this has become clear that at present no more government jobs will be available in Tripura.
