All donations to Assam Arogya Nidhi are eligible for 100% IT deduction u/s 80(G)1

April 8: In the backdrop of coronavirus outbreak, the state government has urged upon the people of Assam for contributing to Assam Arogya Nidhi. Till 8 April, 12,934 persons have contributed in Assam Arogya Nidhi in the battle against COVID-19. A total amount of Rs. 31.94 crore was collected as of now. Amidst this, state Finance Minister, Dr. himanta Biswa Sarma has made a significant declaration.

Taking to his twitter handle, the Finance Minister declared that all donations to Assam Arogya Nidhi are eligible for 100% deduction as per Sec 80G(1). He regarded it as a reason to cheer for all those who have contributed to this fund.
