Ajmal urges united opposition for 2026 Assam polls

way2barak, November 17: Maulana Badruddin Ajmal, President of All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) asked opposition parties to learn from the humiliating defeat of Bihar and form Mahagathbandhan in Assam for the next year’s assembly polls.

Ajmal who returned to Assam after a gap of several months while talking to media persons said, “There was nothing wrong with Mahagathbandhan in Bihar, Congress strategy was faulty. If opposition parties want to save themselves in Assam, they must resolve their differences and come together. If they don’t come together, they must be prepared to keep on crying for another five years.”
