AHSEC to soon launch new online admission portal ‘DARPAN’ for HS 1st year students

Aug 3: Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) is soon going to launch an online portal, named, ‘DARPAN’ for admission of students in HS First year. The online Admission process will be started from 11th August 2021. Students who have passed HSLC exam this year may apply online for HS first-year courses under Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) for the academic session 2021-2022.

The principals of colleges, HS schools and senior secondary schools, willing to avail this facility, can register for the same in online mode. For participation in the process, Institutions with valid AHSEC codes have to create their profiles by providing their Institutions’ details into the portal by visiting  www.darpan.ahseconline.in  or www.darpan.ahseconline.in

The students will get seats in the schools/colleges according to their performance in the Assam HSLC/AHM Examination, 2021 in their application submitted schools/colleges. A student will be able to submit his/her application to multiple institutions for admission. The institute wise merit list of selected students will be published on the same portal a few days after the application process is over. This year, after 6 days of the application process, the merit list is likely to be published within 31st August 2021.

Through this online admission process, only those students will be eligible who have recently passed HSLC/AHM exam from SEBA. Students appearing for 10th class examination from board other than SEBA will have to visit their desired schools or colleges to complete their admission process in the traditional way.

• Registration by institutions: 04/08/2021 to 09/08/2021
• Online registration by students: 11/08/2021 to 25/08/2021
• Publication of merit list by institutions: Within 31/08/2021

Students who passed HSLC 2021 exam and want to get admission into the Higher Secondary 1st year courses in different Institutions including Universities/ Degree Colleges/ Senior Secondary Schools/ Higher Secondary Schools under the AHSEC must apply online.

• Click on HS 1st Year Admission link.
• A portal will load, Login using your HSLC/AHM Roll No. and Date of Birth (as per Admit Card).
• On the next one, you need to choose the college, course type and other details you want.
• Upload scan copy of photograph, signature and other necessary documents.
• After filling and verifying all the details, you have to click on submit button.
• After submitting the application, keep the system generated acknowledgment for future use.
• Check the portal regularly for updates. You will be informed through the portal which institute (s) you have been selected for admission.
