Ahead of Assembly polls, 120 minority families join BJP in Dholai
Dec. 18: Ahead of Assam Assembly Elections, more than 120 family members of minority community, including women joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at a programme at Karkat Basti of Sheorartal Gaon Panchayat under Dholai assembly Constituency in the presence of local MLA and Fisheries, Excise, Forest & Environment Minister Parimal Suklabaidya on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Parimal Suklabaidya said, “The government is committed for overall development of Dholai Constituency. He also effusively praised Narendra Modi and Sonowal led government and said many visionary initiatives were being taken up by the government for the development of rural infrastructure”.
The minister welcomed the Congress workers into the saffron brigade and said they were influenced by the party’s ideology of ‘Sab ka saath, sab ka Vikas’. “All these people have joined the BJP to give a stable government in the interest of society and the state. They believe in the BJPs ideology, which is a happy message to the state, as the people of the country and the state have rejected dynastic politics,” added the minister.
He further said “The people who joined BJP on Thursday were betrayed and used as just a Vote Bank by the previous governments for several years, however, they started getting various facilities from the Government after the BJP come to power in Assam”.
During the event, ZP Member Of Madhya Dholai Dholai Sashanka Chandra Paul, BJP Narsinghpur Mandal Committee President Lalbahadur Kurmi, General Secretary Kamalesh Das, Pritish Chandra Das, Rajib Uddin Laskar, Khairul Amin Laskar and other GP members were present.
