After tremour: Earthquake measuring 3.8 rocks Manipur

Oct. 11: An earthquake measuring 3.8 in the Richter scale jolted Manipur at 3.55 PM on Sunday. The earthquake had its epicentre at Tamenglong in Manipur. The quake lasted for some few seconds. The quake was also felt in parts of Mizoram, Nagaland and Assam. The quake occurred at a depth of 52 kilometres and the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) has marked this earthquake as ‘reviewed’ while confirming the coordinates 24.57 (latitude) and 93.49 (longitude). However, there were no report of any damage.

It needs mention here that at 11.08 PM on Saturday, an earthquake measuring 5.3 in the Richter scale jolted Assam & other North Eastern states which had its origin almost near the same place of that of Sunday afternoon.
