After denial of bail by High Court, Arnab Goswami now moves Supreme Court
Nov. 10: After being denied bail by the Mumbai High Court on Monday, Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami on Tuesday moved the Supreme Court seeking interim bail in the 2018 case of alleged abetment to suicide of an Interior Designer. The Supreme Court is supposed to hear on Wednesday the interim bail plea of Goswami.
Arnab Goswami, in his plea moved through advocate Nirnimesh Dube, made the Maharashtra government, Mumbai Police, Central government and other respondents in the matter. The suicide case, in which a closure report was filed in 2019, was reopened after Naik’s wife Akshata approached a court.
Arnab Goswami along with other three accused were arrested by Alibaug police in Maharashtra’s Raigad district on November 4 on the basis of a suicide note by interior designer Anvay Naik in 2018.
