Large number of 1st time voters from Lakhipur joins Young Brigade Seva Dal
Oct. 14: With expulsion of Rajdeep Goala from the Congress for a period of 6 years, the party has been working hard to retain the Lakhipur assembly constituency. During the 3-day tour of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) Chief, Ripun Bora in Barak Valley, many youths from Lakhipur came forward and enlisted themselves as members of Young Brigade Seva Dal, Cachar.
Welcoming the 1st time voters into the fold of the Seva Dal on last Sunday, Ripun Bora appreciated the hard work put in by District General Secretary Young Brigade Hemant Jain and & President Young Brigade Lakhipur Block Mithon Dey and the team. For guiding the Young Brigade Seva Dal, Cachar team, its district President, Deboja Sumanta was also felicitated by APCC Chief Ripun Bora.
Expressing his views, Deboja Sumanta said, “As a dedicated soldier of the party, our one-point programme is to strengthen the Seva Dal so that the more and more youths would join us and help the party in performing well during the forthcoming assembly elections.” The youths were inducted into the fold of the Seva Dal in the presence of former Silchar MP and President of All India Mahila Congress Sushmita Dev and other top leaders of the party.
