Advocate Rosy Chakraborty passes away at SMCH due to post-Covid complications

May 27: In a tragic incident, Advocate Rosy Chakraborty (49) from Itkhola, Silchar breathed her last at Silchar Medical College& Hospital (SMCH) owing to post-Covid complications. As per reports, Rosy Chakraborty took admission at SMCH a few days ago after being detected as Covid-19 positive. However, responding to the treatment, she became negative on last Tuesday, following which she was shifted to the non-Covid ward of SMCH. However, she suffered a “cardiac arrest” on Thursday evening and breathed her last at 5.30 PM.

Advocate Rosy Chakraborty was the daughter of Late Rammohan Chakraborty who was the district judge. She is survived by her husband and a son. Her death was mourned by many of her colleagues of the legal fraternity.
