Active COVID-19 cases goes down to 3 in Cachar
March 23: On Tuesday, no new case of COVID-19 was reported in Cachar. During the day, a total of 616 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done, out of which, none were found positive. Also, no person was detected positive in RT-PCR Test. This was informed by Dr. Ibrahim Ali Ahmed, District Surveillance Officer (DSO), IDSP, Cachar on Tuesday night.
With this, the district tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 11,504. Further, a total of 11,463 patients were discharged in the district as of now. Cachar registered a total of 38 COVID-19 deaths till now. At present, there are 03 active cases in Cachar district, out of which, 01 of them is admitted at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH), whereas, the 02 others are in home isolation.
Further, the district health authorities appealed to the public to maintain COVID appropriate behaviour like use of face masks in public places, maintain social distancing, hand hygiene and coughing etiquette like covering of mouth and nose while coughing. Dr. Ibrahim Ali Ahmed stated that by following these steps we can help prevent the break out of the second wave of COVID-19.
