ACCUSED ARRESTED BY NIA FROM  CACHAR IN BOMB BLAST CASE

way2barak, Oct 16 : Based on an intelligent report, joint operation with Assam Police, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested one prime accused from Badripar Part-four of Cachar District in a case related to bomb blast at Kwakta, Bishnupur District of Manipur in a Scorpio vehicle. The person identified as Md. Noor Hussain, a resident of Kwakta under Bishnupur District was arrested on the wee hours of Monday and the NIA took him.

The case was initially registered by Manipur Police, vide FIR no. 635(6)2023 dated 21.06.2023 at PGCI Police Station under Moirang Sub Division, Bishnupur District, Manipur and later re-registered by the NIA on 23.06.2023 at Imphal.

NIA investigations revealed that the involvement of Md, Noor Hussain in the bomb blast that took place on 21.06.2023 in an IED laden Scopio vehicle parked over a bridge located in the area of Phougakchou Lkai Awang Leikai and Kwarkta along Tidim Road in Bishnupur district. Three persons were injured and the bridge alongwith nearby houses got demaged as a result of the bomb blast.

NIA told in the press release, ”further investigations in the case are in progress.”
