ABVP wins 12 out of 18 seats in Cachar College Students Union election, NSUI bags post of President

March 12: ABVP won 12 out of 18 seats in Cachar College Students Union Election held on 11 March, including the posts of  General Secretary(GS), AGS, Sports Secretary, etc. However, NSUI successfully bagged the posts including that of the President and Vice President.

The election of Cachar College Students’ Union was held almost after a gap of around 5 years. Dr S.S. Nath, Principal of the College and Chairman of the Cachar College Students Union Election, 2022 in a notification on 11 March officially declared the new union body:

1. President: Khanganba N. Leisemba
2. Vice Chairman: Afia Khanom  Laskar (Elected unopposed)
3. General Secretary- Bidwattam Dhar Choudhury
4. Deputy General Secretary: Ariyan Roy
5. Secretary Ladies Section – Nirupama Singha
6. Assistant Secretary Ladies Section: Debika Das (Elected Unopposed)
7. Editor College Magazine: Jubair Ahmed Barbhuiya
8. Assistant Editor College Magazine: Bikramjit Namasudra
9. Secretary Sports: Rahul Kanu
10. Assistant Secretary Sports: Joydeep Paul
11. Secretary Music & dramatic club: Madhumita Das
12. Assistant Secretary Music & dramatic club- Parnasree Bhattacharjee (Elected Unopposed)
13. Secretary Debating Club: Aswini Pandey
14. Assistant Secretary Debating Club: Kawsar Ahmed Laskar (Elected Unopposed)
15. Secretary Boys Common Room & Gym: Haque Seikh Md. Iqbal
16. Assistant secretary boys common room and gym: Aman Dubey
17. Secretary Book Bank: Deba Nath
