ABVP to organise competition among students on birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda
Jan. 7: On the occasion of 158th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, Silchar Unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has taken in hand a host of programmes in order to inspire the youths. To mark this occasion, ABVP Silchar Unit has organised speech, art, dance and quiz competitions, which will be held at Cachar College, Silchar on 10 January. An entry fees of Rs. 20 per student has been fixed. The prizes will be distributed on 12 January at Banga Bhavan.
For speech competition, the topic is “National Educational Policy for Atmanirbhar Bharat.” Students from HS to PG can participate in this event. Art competition will be held in 3 groups: Group A for Class V to VII. The topic for Group A art competition will be anything related to Swami Vivekananda. Group B for Class VIII to X. Their topic is portrait of Swami Vivekananda. Group C for Class HS to PG. They will have to draw anything related to ‘Mera Desh Mera Sanskriti.’
There will also be dance competition based on traditional or folk dance. ABVP has also organised a quiz competition for which there will be 2 groups. Group A for Class VIII to X and Group B for Class PG to UG. The questions will be based on Swami Vivekananda and current affairs.
