Many persons are stranded outside their home states and are facing lot of problems in managing food materials. Nine such students from Cachar district studying in Hyderabad were in great distress due to the month long lockdown. They had exhausted whatever money they had and even found great difficulties in managing food for themselves.
Somehow the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) unit of Silchar came to know of their miserable plight. It was then that the Silchar Unit of ABVP came in touch with their Telangana counterpart. Responding to their call, Telangana unit of ABVP immediately rushed to the help of the stranded girls in Hyderabad with rice, dal, potato, soyabean, mustard oil, and other dry food.
Expressing their gratitude, the girls said, “We were suffering a lot due to lockdown. We had shortage of food. We contacted Silchar ABVP who asked Hyderabad ABVP to help us. At this juncture when even our family was not in a position to help us, ABVP members in Hyderabad gave us sufficient quantity of food materials. We are indeed to ABVP for their help at this critical juncture.”
