AAP’s ‘Jhaadu’ sweeps Delhi; ‘Bijli Paani’ takes over ‘Goli Maro’
February 11: Ending all speculations, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) clean sweeps Delhi Assembly polls. The stage is all set for Arvind Kejriwal to become the Chief Minister of Delhi for the 3rd consecutive time. Though the final official results are not declared by Election Commission as yet, but the vote tally remained as of now with AAP registering victory in 63 seats followed by its rival BJP who managed to claim 07 seats. Congress failed to open its account in Delhi for the 2nd consecutive term.
Immediately after the landslide victory, AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal went to visit the Hanuman Temple at Cannaught Place in New Delhi along with his family members and party leaders. Meanwhile, its celebration time for the supporters of AAP. They were seen bursting crackers and playing with colours. Taking a dig at the BJP, an AAP leader said, “Bijli Paani takes over Goli Maro.”
BJP accepted its defeat and congratulated Arvind Kejriwal for his massive victory. RJD has hailed this victory and said that people of Delhi has given a befitting reply to the poisonous campaigning. Expressing his reactions, Kejriwal said, “It’s the victory for Mother India.”
AAP during the last assembly poll won in 67 seats which means this time it has a loss of 4 seats; wheras BJP has gained 4 seats this time. The date of swearing in has not yet been disclosed.
