A principal & an invigilator arrested for abetting unfair means on 1st day of HS exam
February 12: All sorts of precautions are adopted by examination bodies to stop adopting unfair means during examination by the students. But when the teachers or invigilators are themselves engaged in such illegal practices as that of abetting unfair means, it definitely becomes a matter of much concern.
The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) conducted Higher Secondary Final Examinations began on Wednesday with General English. However, on the very first day, 14 candidates were expelled in Dhubri district alone for adopting unfair means.
The principal-cum- in-charge of an examination centre in Dhubri was also arrested by police. The principal-cum-examination centre in charge of Alomganj Rangamati Junior College was arrested for failing to discharge his duties. The arrested principal has been identified as Sah Jamal Seikh.
Meanwhile, on Monday, during the 1st day of HSLC examination, 21 candidates were expelled for adopting unfair means from Dhubri district. One Arabic teacher, identified as Joynal Abedin of Chirakhowa High School, was arrested for allowing the candidates to adopt unfair means in the examination hall.
