2,644 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Thursday, 21 deaths registered

July 8: On Thursday, out of 1,06,760 tests, 2,644 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,27,200. The positivity rate in the state is 2.48 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 168 positive cases during the day. Further, on Thursday, 21 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 4,764. The recovery rate is 94.72 percent.

It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 2,289 persons tested positive in Assam and 26 deaths were registered.
