With 18 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 75 on 1 July

Active cases 563 in Cachar; 135 discharged on Thursday

July 1: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Thursday at 11.05 PM. As per the latest data, 18 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 75 persons were found positive in the district on 1 July. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 57 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has come down to 563. This was informed by DIPRO Cachar on Thursday night. Also, 135 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 85 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 4,870 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 57 persons were found positive, whereas 18 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 17,662, whereas during this phase, 16,931 patients were discharged.

Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 563 active patients:

  • 128 of them are admitted at SMCH
  • 14 at MH
  • 35 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
  • 19 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
  • 13 at CRPF Doyapur
  • 00 at Gracewell Nursing Home
  • 14 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
  • 00 at Valley Hospital
  • 00 at South City Hospital
  • 11 at Chibitabichia Model Hospital
  • 09 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
  • 30 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
  • 19 Palonghat Model Hospital
  • 271 patients are in home isolation.

Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley for more than a month with a gap of two days in between. However, the last 24 hours (5 PM on 30 June to 5 PM on 1 July) again did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH).  This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Thursday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 1 July, there were 120 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 56 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 64 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 12 patients were put under ventilator support and 81 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 13 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 21 of them were discharged.
