Conflict of interest: Azharuddin suspended as Hyderabad cricket chief

June 18: Controversy seems to engulf former Indian skipper Mohd Azharuddin always. In a recent development, he was suspended as Hyderabad cricket chief for mentoring Dubai T10 team. Hyderabad Cricket Association while issuing the suspension order stated that the decision was taken because it was found that Azharuddin was involved in conflict of interests.

The Hyderabad Cricket Association further stated that Azharuddin did not disclose that he was mentor of a T10 team in Dubai. Meanwhile, Azharuddin termed the move “belligerent” posturing with scant regard for the rule of law.
