Cachar starts dedicated model vaccination centre for Divyangjan at Govt. Girls’ HS School

June 7: Week long ward wise vaccination drive in 28 centres of Silchar urban area is continuing with great success. Amid this, the Cachar district administration has also taken in hand a special drive for vaccinating the differently abled persons. With a view to facilitate the Divyangjan, a Model Vaccination Centre has been inaugurated at Govt. Girls’ MP & HS School, Silchar by Keerthi Jalli- Deputy Commissioner, Cachar on Monday in presence of Elded Fairem, CEO, Zilla Parishad, Dr. B. J. Deb Sikdar, i/c Joint Director of District Health Services, Suman Choudhury, District Media Expert, NHM, Principal and teachers of the school.

Expressing her views, DC Jalli during the inauguration said, “It is already instructed that the senior citizens, ladies with children and Divyangjan are given priority in every Vaccination Centre. But to facilitate the Divyangjan, we have set up this dedicated model centre at Govt. Girls’ MP & HS School, which is mobility friendly as well. NGO Saksham has come up to support us in this venture. We invite other NGOs to come forward in such endeavour.”

The model Vaccination centre will run at Govt. Girls’ MP & HS School for four days up to 10 June, 2021 from 7 AM to 2 PM.
