May 21: Karimganj registered 102 fresh COVID-19 cases on Friday, pushing the coronavirus tally in the district to 6,446. Of the 102 active cases detected on Thursday, 93 have been found positive under Rapid Antigen Test and nine under RT-PCR. It needs mention that on Thursday, 134 persons were detected as Covid positive in Karimganj district. The district has currently 737 active COVID-19 cases while 60 patients have been discharged from hospitals and home isolation on Friday. 2,728 swab samples were collected on Friday. Altogether 2,60,421 samples have been tested so far. There are five containment zones in Karimganj town.
