DC Hailakandi visits Covid ward at SK Roy civil hospital, also inspects work of new ICU block

May 16: Deputy Commissioner Hailakandi, Megh Nidhi Dahal visited Covid ward in SK Roy Civil Hospital on Sunday along with ADC Health N K Shah to oversee it’s preparedness. Wearing PPE kit, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the Covid patients inside the wards. He also took stock of the various facilities made available for the Covid patients admitted in the hospital.

The DC Hailakandi, Megh Nidhi Dahal along with ADC N K Shah also during the day carried out an inspection of the ongoing construction work for the ICU block at SK Roy Civil Hospital. The contractor was asked to expedite the construction in order to complete the skeletal civil engineering works latest by 10 June.

It needs mention here that Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma held a video conference with the Deputy Commissioners of the districts in Assam on Sunday to review the prevailing Covid status. Taking to his twitter handle during the day, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Today I reviewed the #Covid19 status, preparedness & enforcement with DCs and SPs through VC. I directed DCs to regularly visit District Hospitals from today and ensure efficient odd hour management of critical Covid patients even late in the night.”
