210 Covid deaths in Assam in last 3 days including 85 on Tuesday

May 11: With a tragic turn of events, more and more people are losing their lives in Assam due to Covid-19. In the last three days, 210 persons in the state have lost their lives due to the deadly coronavirus. On 9 May, 48 people succumbed to Covid-19, 10 May recorded 77 more deaths and on 11 May, 85 persons lost their lives in the virus attack. The death toll due to coronavirus on Monday is the highest single day figure this year.

Out of the 85 deceased on Tuesday, 35 are from Kamrup Metro; 07 from Dibrugarh; 06 from Nagaon; 05 from Kamrup Rural; 04 each from Barpeta, Sivasagar & Sonitpur; 03 each from Jorhat & Tinsukia; 02 each from Cachar, Goalpara, Hailakandi & Nalbari; 01 each from Bongaigaon, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Golaghat, Hojai & Karbi Anglong. The death tally of the state now stands at 1,838.

Apart from the 1,838 Covid deaths, another 1,347 Covid positive patients also died in Assam, but due to comorbidities.
