Alarming! 195 tests COVID-19 +ve in Assam on Wednesday

Active cases 847 in the state

April 7: On Wednesday, out of 21,162 tests, 195 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 2,19,027. The positivity rate in the state is 0.92 percent. At present, there are 847 active cases in the state. This is for the 1st time in the year that the COVID count has crossd the daily mark of 100 cases.

On Wednesday, 31 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 2,15,722, patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 98.49%.

Further, during the day, none died in Assam due to COVID-19. The death tally of the state now stands at 1,111.
