UGC announces CA, CS, ICWA qualification will be treated equivalent to PG degree

March 15: In a significant move, University Grants Commission (UGC) announced that students who qualify for Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), or Cost and Works Accountant (ICWA) exams will be treated equivalent to postgraduate degree (PG) holders, University Grants Commission (UGC) announced. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India also welcomed the move. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India said, “It will leverage the CS profession across the globe.” .
