Lok Sabha TV & Rajya Sabha TV gets merged into Sansad TV

March 2: In a significant development, Lok Sabha TV and Rajya Sabha TV channels have been officially merged into one single entity, Sansad TV. Retired IAS officer Ravi Capoor has been appointed the first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sansad TV. The decision was taken jointly by Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.

The government in its order March 1 said, “Consequent upon the joint decision of the Chairman, Rajya Sabha and the Speaker, Lok Sabha to merge RSTV and LSTV into Sansad Television (Sansad TV).”
