CM Sonowal presents Republic Day Journalism Award to veteran journalist Atin Das

Jan. 26: On the occasion of the celebrations of the State function of the 72nd Republic Day at veterinary college ground in Khanapara today, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal presented Republic Day Journalism Award 2021 to veteran journalist Atin Das. The award carries Rs. 1 lakh, a citation, a memorabilia, sarat; anga bastra and a gamocha.

It may be noted that presented under the aegis of Department of Information and Public Relations, the Chief Minister handed over the award to Atin Das in recognition to his long and unstinted service as a journalist. Atin Das who was born on 12 December, 1947 has long years of journalistic experience starting his career as a journalist in 1962. He has the distinction of having been associated with ‘Barak’ a weekly, ‘Weekly Jugasankha’, ‘Dainik Jugasankha’, ‘Sangbad Lohori, ‘Malabar Herald’, ‘Dainik Basumati’, ‘Anandabazar Patrika, ‘Hindustan Standard’ and many more.
