Assam govt declares state holiday on 16 Nov

Nov. 8: On account of ‘Bhatri Dwitiya’ Assam government has declared state holiday on 16 November. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said, “The state government has decided to declare holiday on 16 November on account of the holy Bhatri Dwitiya of the Gurkha community. ” It needs mention here that earlier this day was earmarked as restricted holiday by the state government.
