Out of 27,491 tests done on Saturday, 971 found +ve in Assam; 9 deaths registered

Oct. 10: On Saturday, 971 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now reached 1,93,387, out of which, 30,672 are active cases. During the day, 27,491 tests were done in Assam. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 971 #COVID cases detected out of 27491 tests today. Positivity Rate – 3.53% Kamrup (M) – 229.”

Moreover, during the day, another 09 persons in the state died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally of Assam to 811.
