Online exams; frequent power cut in Borkhola, ABVP gives memorandum to DC
Sept. 28: The TDC Non-CBCS Final Semester Examinations will commence from Tuesday. However, since the last week, certain areas within Borkhola constituency is facing power-cut as a transformer over there is out of order since the last one week. As many students will be appearing in the online examinations, so they are in a very tensed situation.
It is in this backdrop that Silchar Unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, Cachar on Monday. In the said memorandum, ABVP wrote, “We would like to draw your kind attention that a transformer is not working from last one week in Borkhola Constituency and suburbs, which has made our life miserable. Indiscriminate power-cuts over wide areas for hours together have become a daily feature nowadays.”
Kishaloy Chakraborty, Secretary of Silchar Unit of ABVP said “Students are the worst sufferers due to off and on power cut. Moreover, TDC Non-CBCS Final Semester Examinations will start from 29 September, 2020.Many students have opted for online mode of examination. Therefore we demand restoration of power supply at the earliest so that the students can sit for their online exam without any hassle.”
