Himanta lays foundation stone of 2 roads in Karimganj & auditorium at RK Nagar

Sept. 25: State Finance, PWD, Health & Education Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma came on a 2-day Barak tour on Friday afternoon. After landing at Silchar airport, the minister went to Ramkrishnagar in Karimganj district, where he laid the foundation stone of the much awaited auditorium in presence of MP Kripanath Mallah & MLA Bijoy Malakar. The auditorium will accommodate 1000 people.

From there, Himanta Biswa Sarma went to Karimganj. in Karimganj, laid the foundation stones of two roads. One of them is a road from Bidyanagar to Kadamtala via RK Nagar & Anipur-Bidyanagar TRI-Junc to Dullavcherra Anipur TRI-Junc (₹10 crore). The 2nd road for which the minister laid the foundation stone was widening and improvement of Anipur Zamuang Road (₹42.76 crore) The 2 projects are out of 100 cr budget for roads. The two projects are out of 100 crore budget for roads.

However, in both the places, there was a huge crowd and the protocol of social distancing was violated by the people at large.
