Parimal Suklabaidya visits family at Kazidahar, assures speedy probe

August 9: Assam Fisheries, Excise, Forest & Environment Minister Parimal Suklabaidya on Saturday met the family members of Dhrubajyoti Nath, 5 months old child from Kajidahar in Sonai who was kidnapped and then brutally killed by sinister elements of the society. The minister promised speedy investigation of the incident so that the culprits can be given exemplary punishment.

“Although words of condolences are not enough to replace or eliminate the pain of losing their own child, I have assured the parents of befitting justice,” said the minister. He further directed the district administration and senior police officials for nabbing all the culprits involved in the heinous crime and deliver justice to the bereaved family.

Meanwhile, the news of the child’s murder has also triggered a firestorm on social media with a huge number of people sharing posts/ pictures/ videos of the incident and demanding strict punishment/ capital punishment to the culprits involved.

This unfortunate incident of kidnap and murder took place in the wee hours of Wednesday when the baby, who was sleeping with his parents, was kidnapped from his house in Sonai Kajidahar area after the kidnappers gained entry by breaking the window pane.
