Security beefed up in Cachar: Executive Magistrates deputed in view of ‘Bhoomi Poojan’ at Ayodhya

August 4: The ‘Bhoomi Poojan’ ceremony (laying of foundation stone) of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh will take place on 5 August, 2020. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to lay the foundation stone of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. In this backdrop, the Cachar District Administration has also geared up and deputed Magistrates and allotted their area of responsibility.

In an order issued by Additional District Magistrate, Cachar on 4 August, it was stated that the Magistrates will take appropriate steps as they deem fit and proper to deal with the situation. They were also directed to keep the District Magistrate, Cachar and Additional District Magistrate branch informed from time to time. The following are the list of the Magistrates drafted for this purpose along with their contact number and area of responsibility:
